Bill Grundy interviews the Sex Pistols

Live TV and the Pistols - that was asking foru trouble, and Grundy did egg them on. This is when I decided I wanted to make music, that I could make music. But I did nothing for over two more years until I heard Throbbing Gristle - that made me decide I was going to make music.

Introduced to Industrial

After meeting the four members of Throbbing Gristle on Tottenham Court Road one Saturday when my friend Jim & I were on our way to Oxford Street for some recording shopping, we went to see them at Centro Iberico (21 January 1979). It was literally a life changing event for me.

Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and Rema-Rema. This was where I first met Raye. That meeting later led to us forming Third Door From the Left.

Weird Noise tour

Touring over Christmas 1979 into 1980 with a WASP synthesiser, playing in made-up or ad hoc line-ups connected with Fuck Off Records. The Entire Cosmos were among the bands on the tour, and I played with them one night.

I was originally going on the tour to video it, borrowing the camera from my college. When they found out what I was going to do with it, they said no. So I took my wasp and went anyway. It was a "free" tour - we travelled in a bus that I seem to remember cost £25 stayed in peoples flats, college dorms, whereever we could, it was incredible fun.
One night, along with Nag & Bendle from The Door and the Window, and others, we played improvised Christmas Carols.
